Region: Mudgee, New South Wales, Australia
Winemaker:  James Manners, Trent Nankivell and Bec Kidd

Pressed quickly and run into a combination of new and older tight grained French oak (Allier).Light battonage to increase texture.

Oak Regime: Matured for 10 months in French oak (Taransaud, Seguin Moreau, Dargaud and Jaegle)

Vineyard notes:

Fruit was sourced from three family-owned vineyards. The Woodbrook site delivers well-defined fruit flavours in the finer, tighter, citrus spectrum, Stony Creek gives fine mineral structure and lemon-lime fruit, whilst Craigmoor’s old vines contribute intensity of flavour with slightly riper melon fruit notes. All sites are closely managed for ideal ripening and relatively low yields of around 3 tonne/acre. They are blessed with rich deep red clay loam soils, a high quartz content and excellent drainage.

Winemaking notes:

A variety of techniques were employed in order to retain the delicate yet intense fruit character and whilst adding underlying richness.
