Craigmoor Est 1858Established in 1858 and in recent years known as Poets Corner, the Oatley family are restoring this terrific site to its former glory.
Situated just 5 minutes drive from the centre of town, surrounded by picturesque vineyards, native trees, a river and a dam, the property features picnic grounds around the Craigmoor Cricket Oval, the historic Craigmoor Winery and within it, our Cellar Door, the Wild Oats Café and a Wine Museum.
Craigmoor Cellar DoorThe full range of Oatley Wines is available for tasting and purchase at Craigmoor Cellar Door. Taste one wine or taste them all, try a wine flight (for example a bracket of 4 different chardonnays) or enjoy a winemaker hosted luncheon. Open 7 days 10.00am – 4.00pm.
You can try wines from the following ranges: Robert Oatley, Wild Oats, Driftwood Bay (exclusive to Cellar Door and Hamilton Island), Montrose and the odd aged release Craigmoor.
Wild Oats CaféThe Wild Oats Café is the latest culinary incarnation at Craigmoor. Leading regional foodie Tricia Hennessy opened the Wild Oats Café in May 2007 replacing the more formal dining Craigmoor Restaurant.
Tricia is a highly lauded regional food (and wine) specialist who moved to Mudgee late last year following stints in the Blue Mountains, Mildura and at Mt Prior House in Rutherglen where she collected four consecutive Age Good Food Guide hats.
The Wild Oats Café is open seven days (excluding Good Friday and Christmas Day) from 10am-4pm; Friday and Saturday nights from 6:30pm (booking essential).
Oatley Wines are encouraging regional and wine-related events to be held at Craigmoor such as the Mudgee Wine Show Dinner, The Clock Awards and various wine & food promotions, some of which we will run ourselves.
For specific function enquiries email Tricia thennessy@oatleywines.com.au
For lunch bookings call 02 6372 4320.
How to find us Craigmoor is just a short drive out of the centre of the town of Mudgee on the Central Western Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia.
